Huntington Lane Surface Mining Scheme - Community Fund Sub-group
The Community Fund sub-group has a delegated function from the CLC (Community Liaison Committee) and is set up to consider and determine the allocation of the Community Fund. It meets as required but normally after CLC meetings.

UK COAL PLC - Huntington Lane Surface Mining Scheme - Community Trust Fund
UK Coal has made £500,000 available over the life of the Huntington Lane Surface Mining Scheme to support environmental and community initiatives in immediate area.
Eligible applicants will include:-
- Voluntary and Community Groups
- Official organisations - e.g. Community, statutory and voluntary agencies.
Eligible spending will include:-
Action : Priority One
- Environmental improvement schemes
- Encouraging involvement from young people
- Supporting local community safety initiatives
- Supporting the development of community/ sports group
Support : Priority Two
- Match funding for small projects
- Professional advice and/or research
- Promoting access and equal opportunities
Equipment : Priority Three
- Publicity and literature
- Contributing to new group start up costs (Stationery, etc.)
- Training, equipment and transport
Spending will not include:-
- The award will be spent on one-off costs NOT ongoing contributions to revenue costs such as rent or staffing.
- Funding projects that can seek funding elsewhere within the project time scale.
How much can be applied for?
A minimum amount of £250.
The limits may vary at the discretion of the Liaison Committee members.
Conditions for awards are:
- Any award must be spent exclusively for the purposes set out in the application.
- Any equipment purchased will not be disposed of without the written permission of the Liaison Committee.
- Any amount of the award not spent within 6 months will be returned unless varied by the Liaison Committee.
- All financial records, receipts etc. will be kept for at least 2 years following the award.
- Telford and Wrekin Council will manage any procurement activity that is required.
- The award will be used for delivering priorities identified within the area.
