Calling all WOOD burners

There may be as many as 30-40 homes in Little Wenlock that are already using wood for heating. If that’s you or you are thinking about it and would like information on:
- scrap wood for free, that may need cutting and chopping
- cheap unseasoned off-cuts for cutting
- seasoned logs cut ready for use
- chimney sweeps
- choosing a wood burning stove or installer
- changing your central heating system to wood
- comparative costs of wood boilers when replacing an old oil boiler

Garden Visitors liked our Carbon Footprint Posters
Visitors to our Gardens open weekend commented that they were impressed with the carbon footprint idea and some took away ideas they could carry out at home.
Around 30 households did posters; some just had a copy on the boards in the hall, some put them up at their ‘gate’ just for the gardens weekend, some keep them up all summer, and some keep them up all year round.
There are no rules, each household fills in their poster with either a list of things they have done, a story of an eco-build or eco-restoration; whatever they want to tell.
Several people have asked to join in and put up a poster; all you need to do is call Hilary on 505547 to get a blank.
