Tim who lives in Church Lane, Little Wenlock has embarked on a mammoth fund raising event, which by September 2011 has raised £1200 for his charity.
He said recently
"I started the charity event on Sunday 27th March and the objective is to run up the Wrekin every week normally on a Sunday, pulling, pushing or carrying an item that represents local businesses. (Please see photographs) for a minimum donation of £25.00 for the UK Children's charity Barnardo's. This is a charity close to my heart as my mother was a Barnardo's child. I have been very touched by the encouragement and support from the Shropshire people.
On Sunday 18th September we reach our first milestone, we will have completed 26 weeks, and we will be half way there.
Some of the items I have carried up the Wrekin are a kitchen sink, a bale of hay while dressed as a farmer wearing wellies, full english breakfast dressed as a waiter, I have been dressed in an Indian traditional costume carrying an indian meal, 85 balloons attached to me, a car - yes a car (see picture). We still need 8 or 9 sponsors to complete the 52 weeks but are very optomistic.
Again many thanks
Tim"
