Schoolchildren
Taken in the playground of Little Wenlock Primary School. circa 1950’s.
School has been converted into residential homes No’s 01 and 02, Church Lane.
Railings can still be seen at No2.

Amateur Dramatic Society
Plays were performed in the original Village Hall – not much TV in those days!

Spread Eagle Pub
“Spread Eagle” pub. Was demolished in 1959 to make way for the planned opencast.
It was sited with the original Village Hall on what is now a field off the lane 200 yards south east from the bottom of Malthouse bank.
